We built a grading pipeline on LearnUpon that converts each student submission, grades it against the right rubric and sends the written feedback back, without anyone marking by hand.

Webhook trigger
A LearnUpon webhook fires the moment a student submits their work.
Detect & convert
The pipeline picks up the file and converts it to a readable format with CloudConvert (a file-conversion service).
Match rubric
The pipeline matches the submission to the correct grading rubric.
AI grading
Gemini grades the work against the rubric, the same way every time.
Store results
Grades and feedback are stored in Supabase (the database), so every result can be delivered and checked later.
Deliver feedback
The student gets personalised written feedback back, without anyone sending it.
